Wellness on the Move: A Q+A with Shelby Silva from FORM

Wellness on the Move: A Q+A with Shelby Silva from FORM

At Drift, we believe travel should feel like life at its best. And we know that for many of our guests, that means staying consistent with their wellness goals. But instead of stale hotel gyms or retreats only available to the well-connected, we make wellness practices easily accessible at every stay. Complimentary yoga mats, bikes for exploring, and FORM x Drift fitness packages make it easy to move, reset, and recharge on your own terms, so you can keep your routine without missing a moment of the city you’re discovering.

To see how wellness can fit seamlessly into travel, we turned to Shelby Silva, Director of Operations at FORM, a digital platform built around accessible, at-home fitness and mindful movement. Shelby spends much of her time on the road, and between jet lag, tight schedules, and the occasional airport meal, travel can throw anyone off. Still, she has a few rituals that keep her grounded:

“Movement is always non-negotiable for me, even if it’s just a 10-minute walk or an ab workout in my hotel room. Hydration is another, I bring electrolytes on every trip and am constantly adding them to my water.”

Shelby takes a similarly relaxed approach to food:

“Nutrition I’m more lenient with when I travel. I never want to restrict myself from trying the cuisines of each city. I love to indulge on vacation and try not to stress about eating perfectly, it helps me enjoy the experience without feeling thrown off.”

That mindset mirrors Drift’s philosophy, wellness that fits your life, not a rigid routine. At Drift, guests can stay active on their own terms while embracing the local table as part of the journey, whether that means savoring fresh fish tacos in San José del Cabo or sipping a cocktail while watching the sunset in Nashville.

Her relationship with fitness has evolved too:

“Before FORM, I thought of fitness as something that required a studio or equipment. Now, I see movement as something accessible anywhere, quick, intentional workouts can be just as effective as longer sessions when life gets busy.”

Some destinations, like Greece, have even redefined what wellness means for her:

“Days there felt naturally balanced, movement came from walking winding streets, swimming in the sea, or hopping on an ATV. The food was another game-changer, fresh, wholesome meals rooted in Blue Zone traditions.”

Even on the most demanding travel days, Shelby makes room for the small things:

“I’ll do a short 10–15 minute workout to wake up my body, drink my supplements, pack snacks, and walk the airport terminal. Once I land, I always prioritize a walk to shake off the travel fatigue.”

Her approach shows that wellness while traveling doesn’t have to be rigid. It’s about moving to the rhythm of the city. At Drift, we couldn’t agree more. Our FORM x Drift packages make it easy to stay active while soaking in the culture, cuisine, and energy of every destination. Each package includes FORM’s digital workouts, a FORM x Bala weight kit for use during your stay, and an exclusive membership discount if you want to continue your practice.
